Week 2 Day 8-Who You Are In Christ

Week Two - Day 8 - Who You Are In Christ

You are no longer the same! You have been transformed! Our Lord Jesus has made it possible so that we can live in victory. Whilst our minds and perspectives are in need of renewal our spirit has been fully transformed and perfect by the work of salvation. Now we have the authority and power to walk out our lives in victory. Romans 8:9

You are a ‘spirit’ in complete unity with Christ and you have a ‘soul’ that lives in a ‘body/flesh’. Your entire body is an instrument of righteousness. Why is it important to know this?

Because your spirit is who you are primarily and your soul that is your emotions, mind, will and choices need to line up with who you truly are in the spirit. They need to line up with Christ's perspective. How He see's things, how He views others, how He see's the mountains you will be addressing.

This is liberating because you can now know that when your emotions are telling you to “eat that cookie because you are feeling lonely” or “there is not enough money in the bank – you should worry about this” this is not the truth that is your un-renewed self needing to realign itself from Christ's perspective.

When we live out of this change of thought we realize that:

We no longer need to walk in condemnation or fear.

We no longer need to view situations as impossible to overcome.

You do not need to see yourself as not being good enough.

We can walk from a place of peace, confidence and victory whilst we are in a process of having our minds renewed. Knowing that we can come boldly before the throne of God because of the precious blood of Jesus and His righteousness.

When God looks at you He see’s perfection and enjoys being with you. Friends you have been given a new nature. This has been made available because of the Holy Spirit living in you. Hebrews 10:14

Now we do have some habits that do not line up with the Word but this is why we have been given this precious gift of renewing our mind, to walk as Christ has called us too. Sinning is not our normal our new normal is to live by the Spirit. Living by the Spirit means we have everything we need to walk victoriously.

*BE SURE

The bible says that if you do not have the Spirit of Christ then you do not belong to Him. I am available if you want to chat about being sure you belong to Christ.

                                         ***DISCUSSION QUESTION***

What do you think God see’s when He looks at you? From this perspective how should you see yourself and the mountains in your life that need to be addressed?

                                                         ***PRAY***

Father God help us to know that you really enjoy us, that we are one with You, loved by You and pursued by You daily. You long for us to see life the way you see it, to walk this journey out with you hand in hand. Thank you for loving us so beautifully. Thank you for never leaving our forsaking us. Thank you for your patience with us.
