Day 14 - The Renovation Of The Mind

Day 14

The Renovation of the Mind

I know some of you have done a lot of study on the renewing of the mind, but for some it is quite new. According to Romans 12:2 we are to renew our minds.  “And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.”  This comes right after Paul saying that we are to present our bodies to God as a living sacrifice. So I rather think it applies to us.

1. What did you think about this lesson?

2. Look at your answers to the first three questions in the lesson. What are some of the things you learned about life, food, and appearance from your childhood, the culture, or any significant people in your life?

3. Looking at question 6a-6e.Read Ephesians 4: 22-24 and answer the questions that follow: “That in reference to your former manner of life, you lay aside the old self, which is being corrupted in accordance with the lusts of deceit, and that you be renewed in the spirit of your mind, and put on the new self, which in the likeness of God has been created in righteousness and holiness of the truth.”  This is a powerful mind renewal question. Share your answer if you would like.

4.   As you write the truth for any lies; you are learning to truth journal. You are learning one way to renew your mind.

Let’s pray: “Thank you, Lord, for helping us learn to renew our minds.  We know it is your will that our minds be renewed and we no longer live after the ways of the world.  We know you want us to leave the ways of our old man, and learn to think how you want us to think. Thank you for all your blessings in Jesus Name, Amen”
